Encroached structures around Dhapasi removed
KATHMANDU: Tokha Municipality has carried out an enforcement drive to remove illegally constructed houses and sheds in the Dhapasi–Greenland area of Ward No. 7, clearing encroached structures built on public land and along road edges.
According to officials, the municipality used excavators to demolish houses, boundary walls, and temporary structures after residents failed to comply with a 15-day notice issued earlier instructing them to vacate the encroached areas.
Chief Administrative Officer Kamal Bhattarai said the removal work began early in the morning as part of an ongoing campaign to reclaim public land and ensure compliance with legal provisions.
The municipality has urged residents to avoid encroaching on public property and to strictly follow existing laws and urban planning regulations, stating that similar actions will continue where violations are found.
