Election timing irrelevant, UML’s victory certain: Oli
Portraying CPN-UML as the leading force of nationalism and patriotism, Oli claimed the party represents the true national interest and is essential for safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has indicated that national elections could be held as early as March 5, urging his party to remain fully prepared for the possibility.
Addressing a gathering of local residents in his home district of Jhapa, Oli said the likelihood of elections on that date has strengthened, marking a shift from his earlier skepticism about the election environment. “There is a strong possibility that elections will take place on March 5. Even if they are delayed slightly, the party that will ultimately win is CPN-UML,” he asserted.
Portraying CPN-UML as the leading force of nationalism and patriotism, Oli claimed the party represents the true national interest and is essential for safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
He argued that UML stands unmatched in terms of ideology, practical governance, struggle, and political resolve, describing it as the nation’s only viable political force.
“CPN-UML is the party that leads the patriotic movement,” Oli said. “We alone possess the vision and commitment to protect and promote the nation’s legitimate interests. That is why UML’s victory is essential.”
Highlighting the achievements of his previous government, Oli claimed that Nepal witnessed accelerated development and infrastructure progress under his leadership.
He emphasized that a UML-led government is necessary to advance the country’s journey toward prosperity.
