EC calls for submission of candidates’ manifestos by Feb 15

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has urged all candidates contesting under the first-past-the-post system for the upcoming House of Representatives election on March 5 to submit their election manifestos to the respective election officers by Feb 15.
As per Section 37 of the Election Code of Conduct, 2082, candidates are required to make their manifestos public and submit a copy to the concerned election officer.
The notice, issued by Branch Officer (Legal) Arun Adhikari on Feb 10, also instructs all provincial and district election offices to maintain records of the submitted manifestos and forward the details to the Commission.
