Dortmund crush Mainz 4-0, tighten grip on Bundesliga second spot

KATHMANDU: Borussia Dortmund strengthened their hold on second place in the German Bundesliga with a dominant 4-0 win over Mainz on Friday.

Sergio Guerreiro starred for Dortmund, opening the scoring in the 10th minute and doubling the lead in the 42nd.

Maximilian Beyer and Rami Beseabani added one goal each to complete the rout.

The victory takes Dortmund to 51 points, just three behind league leaders Bayern Munich, who have played one more game and sit on 54 points.
