Deuba urges CM Shah to ensure peaceful elections in Sudurpashchim
The directive came during a meeting at Deuba’s residence in Maharajgunj, according to Shah’s press coordinator, Dammar Bam.
KATHMANDU: Former Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has instructed Sudurpashchim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah to actively work for a peaceful election environment and help secure victories for Congress candidates.
The directive came during a meeting at Deuba’s residence in Maharajgunj, according to Shah’s press coordinator, Dammar Bam.
Deuba emphasized that as a party committed to democracy, Congress leaders and workers must be fully dedicated to strengthening democratic practices through fair and transparent elections.
“Conducting elections in a clean, impartial, and peaceful environment is essential, and Congress must play its role honestly to ensure victory,” Deuba stated.
During the meeting, Shah also met Deuba’s wife, former Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, who, along with Deuba, expressed concern about the Chief Minister’s health.
