Deputy PM Singh take over Prime Ministerial duties

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has departed for Thailand today to participate in the official visit and the 6th BIMSTEC Summit.

In his absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, has been assigned the responsibility of handling the daily administrative tasks of the Prime Minister’s office.

According to the President’s office, the assignment of this responsibility to Deputy Prime Minister Singh has been made on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, as per the provisions of Nepal’s Constitution.
