KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court has extended the detention of Shanker Group director Sulabh Agrawal by five days in connection with a money laundering case.
Court spokesperson Deepak Kumar Shrestha confirmed that the extension follows the conclusion of legal proceedings.
Agrawal remains under investigation by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for alleged money laundering.
Previously, he was also accused of attempting to sell thermal guns at inflated prices in 2076, but he was later released on bail by the authorities.
Earlier, Shanker Group chair Shankar Agrawal was also arrested but released after completing his statement.
