KATHMANDU: Chitwan Rhinos set to bat first in the second match of Saturday’s Nepal Premier League (NPL) at the TU Cricket International Ground, Kirtipur.

After winning the toss, Chitwan captain Kushal Malla opted to put Pokhara Avengers in the field.

Both teams have already been eliminated from the playoff race, sitting on four points each from six matches.

The winner of today’s encounter will claim the fifth spot on the points table.

Last season, Chitwan defeated Pokhara by 87 runs, and Pokhara remains the only team across both seasons to miss the playoffs.

Chitwan have made two changes to their playing XI, with Alpesh Ramjani from Uganda replacing English pacer George Scrimshaw, and Gautam KC taking the spot of Amar Singh Rautela.

Both players are making their NPL debut.

Pokhara, meanwhile, have introduced three debutants in place of Sagar Dhakal, Aakash Chand, and Sandeep Kshetri.

Rohit Chand, Krishna Paudel, and Arjun Kumal will feature for the first time in the tournament.
