KATHMANDU: Ravi Bopara’s fluent half-century guided Chitwan Rhinos to a competitive total of 174/5 in their 20 overs against Biratnagar Kings in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025 on Wednesday.

Batting first at TU Ground in Kirtipur, Chitwan relied on Bopara’s experience as he scored a match-high 65 off just 38 balls, including three fours and four sixes.

This marks his third consecutive fifty of the season, following similar knocks against Karnali Yaks and Lumbini Lions.

Bopara shared a crucial 56-run partnership for the fifth wicket with captain Kushal Malla, who remained unbeaten on 20.

Chitwan had a shaky start, losing both openers for just 24 runs. Deepak Bohara contributed five runs, while David Malan added 17.

Dev Khanal played a resilient 28 before being caught by Sam Heglett off Sandeep Lamichhane’s bowling.

Saif Zaib then steadied the innings with a quick 32 off 30 balls, featuring a four and a six, helping Chitwan reach a challenging total of 175 for Biratnagar to chase.
