Carlsberg Golf Classic 2026 concludes in style at Royal Nepal Golf Course

KATHMANDU: The Carlsberg Golf Classic 2026, organized by Gorkha Brewery Pvt. Ltd., concluded successfully on April 10 and 11, 2026 at the prestigious Royal Nepal Golf Course, bringing together 130 golf enthusiasts for two days of spirited competition and premium sporting experience.
Played in the popular Stableford format with scores calculated at ¾ handicap, the tournament delivered a fair and highly competitive field across multiple categories.
In the Men’s category, Mr. Karbir Tamang emerged as the winner with 48 points on countback, while Mr. Ashmank Karki secured the Runner-Up position, also with 48 points on countback.
he Best Gross Winner title was claimed by Mr. Hari Bahadur Thapa with a score of 35. In the Ladies category, Mrs. Sushma Singh won with 36 points, while Mrs. Tara Karki Chitrakar finished as Runner-Up with 34 points on countback.
In the Senior Men’s (65 years and above) division, Maj. Gen. Vijay Moktan took the winner’s title, with Capt. Mohan Gurung finishing Runner-Up. The Super Senior Men’s (75 years and above) title went to Capt. Mani Lal Thapa.
Among the women, Mrs. Devi Pulami won the Senior Ladies (60 years and above) category, while Mrs. Sandhya Rai secured the Super Senior Ladies (70 years and above) title.
A standout moment of the tournament came when Mr. Hari Bahadur Thapa scored a Hole in One at Hole No. 12, adding a memorable highlight to the event. Mr. Karbir Tamang also won the Most Birdies award with 4 birdies.
Special awards were presented to Mr. Saroj Thapa for Longest Drive at Hole 11, Mr. Khim Gauchan for Closest to the Pin at Hole 12, and Brig. Gen. Sashi Kiran Rayamajhi received the Sportsmanship Prize.
The tournament once again reflected Carlsberg’s commitment to sportsmanship, camaraderie, and premium sporting experiences, while strengthening its association with golf as a lifestyle sport.
