CAN & MCC partner to introduce ‘Spirit of Cricket Award’ in NPL
The award will be presented in each edition of the NPL to the franchise team that best upholds the true spirit of the game—fair play, self-respect, respect for opponents, and exemplary sportsmanship.
KATHMANDU: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and the world’s premier cricket body, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), have announced a new milestone for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) with the launch of the ‘Spirit of Cricket Award’.
The award will be presented in each edition of the NPL to the franchise team that best upholds the true spirit of the game—fair play, self-respect, respect for opponents, and exemplary sportsmanship.
The formal announcement was made at a special event in Kathmandu by CAN Secretary and former captain Paras Khadka, together with Rob Lynch, MCC’s Director of Cricket and Operations.
This award is part of MCC’s global initiative to promote cricket’s core values and uphold the highest standards of integrity and sportsmanship worldwide.
