KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has honoured the Nepali visually impaired women’s cricket team, which secured the runners-up position at the Women’s T20 Blind World Cup.
During a special ceremony held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, CAN presented the team with a cash prize of Rs 1 million in recognition of their remarkable achievement.
CAN stated that the visually impaired women’s team has brought historic pride and elevated the image of Nepali cricket on the global stage.
The event was attended by CAN Secretary Paras Khadka and other officials.
Nepal finished as the runners-up after losing to India in the final match of the recently concluded tournament held in Sri Lanka.
