NPL Qualifier 2: Biratnagar Kings to field first against Lumbini Lions

KATHMANDU: The Biratnagar Kings will field first in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Qualifier 2 after winning the toss against the Lumbini Lions on Thursday at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

Kings’ captain Sandeep Lamichhane opted to send the Lions to bat first.

Biratnagar had suffered a 77-run defeat against Sudurpaschim Royals in Qualifier 1, while Lumbini defeated Kathmandu Gorkhas by 4 wickets in the Eliminator.

The winner of Thursday’s clash will advance to face Sudurpaschim Royals in the final on Saturday.

Biratnagar made two changes to their playing XI, bringing in Shankar Rana and Subash Bhandari in place of Narayan Joshi and Surya Tamang.

Lumbini Lions have retained the same squad from their previous match.
