Biratnagar Kings win toss, opt to bat against Sudurpashchim Royals

The Royals, who played in the Qualifier 1 last season, had won the match to secure a place in the final.

KATHMANDU: Sudurpashchim Royals will take on Biratnagar Kings in the Qualifier 1 of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025 on Tuesday at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground.

The Royals, who played in the Qualifier 1 last season, had won the match to secure a place in the final.

Biratnagar, on the other hand, are making their debut in the playoffs this year.

In the league stage, Sudurpashchim finished first with 12 points, while Biratnagar secured second place with 10 points.

The two teams faced each other during the league, with Biratnagar winning by six wickets.

In that match, Sudurpashchim batted first and posted 147 for 8, but Biratnagar chased it down comfortably with 49 balls remaining.

The losing team of Tuesday’s match will get another chance in Qualifier 2, where they will face the winner of the Eliminator match between Kathmandu Gorkhas and Lumbini Lions, scheduled for Wednesday.
