Bhusal urges govt to ensure fair election environment

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Vice President Pushpa Bhusal has emphasized that it is the government’s responsibility to create a conducive environment for the upcoming elections.

Speaking at a dialogue with election experts in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Bhusal said both the government and the Election Commission should focus on ensuring the necessary conditions for a fair electoral process.

She clarified that political parties are already active on the electoral field and highlighted the need for constitutional amendments, stating that such changes would be addressed by the new Parliament.

Bhusal also noted that the Nepali Congress has finalized preparations for its election manifesto, bringing the process to its concluding stage.
