KATHMANDU: Deepak Raj Bhusal, the incumbent General Secretary of the Education Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN), has formally filed his candidacy for the post of Chair ahead of the association’s election scheduled for Poush 28.

Bhusal’s entry into the race is being viewed as a strategic and decisive move within the organization.

His candidacy has received strong backing from former ECAN Chair Prakash Pandey and current Chair Sheshraj Bhattarai, who are also listed as his proposers.

With the endorsement of two influential leaders, Bhusal’s bid is being seen not merely as a personal ambition but as a symbol of institutional continuity, stability, and professional credibility within ECAN.

Under Prakash Pandey’s leadership, ECAN established a strong institutional framework grounded in policy discipline, transparency, and organizational clarity.

Similarly, despite challenging circumstances, current Chair Sheshraj Bhattarai has steered the association through an inclusive, dialogue-driven, and member-focused approach, keeping the organization united and forward-looking.

Speaking after registering his candidacy, Bhusal said, “The trust shown by leaders like Prakash Pandey and Sheshraj Bhattarai is not only an honor for me but also a great responsibility. My goal is not just to make promises, but to ensure professional credibility, transparency, and the protection of members’ interests within ECAN.”

Bhusal’s key agenda includes empowering members, enhancing the dignity and standards of the educational consultancy profession, strengthening coordination with the government and relevant authorities, and ensuring financial transparency.
