KATHMANDU: Jude Bellingham delivered a goal and an assist as Real Madrid battled to a 2–2 draw against Elche on Sunday, a result that still sent Los Blancos back to the top of La Liga.

Real trailed twice in the match. Elche’s Aleix Febas opened the scoring in the 55th minute, giving the hosts the lead.

Madrid equalised in the 78th minute when Dean Hussein struck from Bellingham’s precise pass. But Elche restored their advantage in the 84th minute through Álvaro Rodríguez to make it 2–1.

With three minutes of regulation time remaining, Kylian Mbappé set up Bellingham, who finished calmly to level the game at 2–2. The English midfielder now has three goals in his last four league matches.

Elche were reduced to 10 men in stoppage time after defender Víctor Chust received his second yellow card.

Despite the draw, Real Madrid moved ahead of Barcelona to reclaim the top spot in the table, while Elche sit 11th.
