Badal calls for strong defense of Oli & party leadership
He linked the Gen Z movement, elections, government decisions, and activities targeting Oli as part of a broader series of events aimed at undermining the UML leadership.
KATHMANDU: Ram Bahadur Thapa, vice-chair of CPN-UML and parliamentary party leader, has said protecting party chair KP Sharma Oli is now the primary responsibility of the entire party rank and file.
Speaking at a program organized on Sunday at Madan Nagar in Balkhu, Kathmandu, to mark the Madan-Ashrit Memorial Day, Thapa alleged that both domestic and foreign forces were actively working to weaken the UML and its leadership.
He said safeguarding the party and Oli had become a historic responsibility for party members.
Thapa also claimed that recent political developments were a continuation of the Dasdhunga Incident.
He linked the Gen Z movement, elections, government decisions, and activities targeting Oli as part of a broader series of events aimed at undermining the UML leadership.
Questioning the nature of recent ordinances, Cabinet decisions, and legal cases filed against Oli, Thapa described them as part of a planned campaign against the party.
“All these developments are a continuation of the Dasdhunga incident. A campaign is being carried out to dismantle the UML and its leadership,” Thapa said, urging party members to remain alert, united, and organized against what he described as continuous attacks on the party and its leadership.
