KATHMANDU: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced a new date for its central committee elections after the previously scheduled polls were delayed.

According to the updated schedule, the election will be held on March 11.

The central committee had initially decided on Feb 11 following a meeting on Dec 31, but two legal disputes led the Patan High Court to issue an interim order, preventing the elections from taking place.

The interim order was lifted by the Patan High Court on Feb 10, clearing the way for the election committee to release the new schedule today.

For the post of central committee president, current ANFA chair Pankaj Bikram Nembang and vice chair Dirgha Bahadur KC (Kumar) have filed nominations.

Over 2 candidates are contesting for senior vice chair, 10 for four vice chair posts, and more than 30 candidates have registered for 15 central member positions.
