According to Nabil Bank, around 50 burn victims are expected to benefit from the program in Surkhet.
KATHMANDU: A three-day free burn treatment camp is set to be organized in Surkhet from March 10-12 through a joint initiative of Province Hospital Surkhet and Nabil Bank, with technical support from FACT Nepal.
The camp aims to provide consultation, treatment, and surgical services to economically disadvantaged patients suffering from burn-related complications.
According to Nabil Bank, around 50 burn victims are expected to benefit from the program in Surkhet.
Patients with complex conditions will be referred to Kirtipur Hospital for free advanced treatment, the bank added.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Nabil Bank has also announced plans to expand similar free burn treatment camps to Lumbini Province, Madhesh Province, as well as the cities of Janakpur and Birgunj.
Earlier, the first such camp was conducted in Dhangadhi from Falgun 12 to 14, where 65 patients received free treatment.
Of them, 20 underwent surgeries at Seti Provincial Hospital, while 18 critical cases were referred to Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital in Sankhu, Kathmandu.
The initiative focuses on treating severe burn-related complications such as post-burn contractures, fused fingers, and congenital deformities like cleft lip and webbed or extra fingers.
The bank stated that the program is designed to improve the quality of life of underprivileged patients who often lack access to specialized burn care services in their local areas.
Nabil Bank said the campaign reflects its long-term commitment to social responsibility, sustainable development, and social entrepreneurship through its CSR initiatives.
