US Indo-Pacific Commander Paparo arriving in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Admiral Samuel Paparo, Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command, is arriving in Nepal on Thursday for a three-day official visit.

According to the Nepal Army, Admiral Paparo will hold formal meetings with Nepali officials during his stay.

He is also scheduled to visit the Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre of the Nepal Army in Panchkhal.

The Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepal Army stated that the visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between Nepal and the United States.

It is also believed to enhance cooperation in areas such as humanitarian assistance, disaster management, and international peacekeeping operations.

The visit is taking place as per a pre-scheduled program.
