KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ spent Tuesday night at the home of Khima Sharma, a mother who lost both her husband Pushkar Sharma and younger son Hemraj Sharma during Nepal’s decade-long Maoist insurgency.
The campaign team led by Prachanda reached Motibasti in Punarbas Municipality–2, Kanchanpur, on Tuesday evening.
The location holds deep historical significance, as 15 individuals from the area lost their lives during the People’s War.
Khima Sharma currently lives with her eldest son.
Prachanda’s visit is seen as a symbolic gesture to honor the sacrifices made by the local people and reinforce his party’s connection with the families of martyrs.
