NAIMA launched; ‘Nepal Mobility Show’ set for August

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Automobiles Imports and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has been officially launched under the slogan “Empowering Development Through Mobility.”
The announcement was made during a special event held in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
NAIMA has emerged following the split from the umbrella organization NADA, aiming to become a unified voice for the nation’s automobile and mobility sector.
Speaking at the event, newly appointed Chairperson Ritu Singh Vaidya stated that NAIMA was established to represent the collective interests and aspirations of the automobile and mobility industry.
Entrepreneur Suhridraj Ghimire also emphasized the importance of collaboration moving forward. “First, we need to align our vision,” he said, “then build a team and work together. NAIMA is the result of a shared voice in this sector, and today it has officially been registered and launched.”

Additionally, NAIMA announced its first major event: the Nepal Mobility Show 2025, scheduled to take place from Shrawan 21 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
The organizing responsibility has been entrusted to Gaurav Sarada.
NAIMA aims to set a new benchmark in Nepal’s automobile and mobility development, ensuring collaborative growth and innovation across the industry.
