Gold price drops significantly on final trading day

KATHMANDU: The price of gold witnessed a notable decline on Friday, the last trading day of the week in Nepal.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of Chhapawal gold dropped by Rs 1,400 per tola compared to the previous day.

Today, Chhapawal gold is being traded at Rs 190,600 per tola, down from Rs 192,000 per tola recorded on Thursday.

In contrast, the price of silver has slightly increased. On Friday, silver is being traded at Rs 1,960 per tola, which is Rs 5 more than Thursday’s rate of Rs 1,955 per tola.
