NEPSE index rises by 27.14 points, closes at 2,689.22

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 27.14 points on Monday, settling at 2,689.22 points.
A total of 21,841,047 shares of 320 companies were traded in 69,364 transactions today, generating a total turnover of Rs 8.54 billion.
While the Mutual Fund and Trading sub-indices saw a decline of 0.07% and 0.64% respectively, all other sectoral indices closed in the green.
The Development Bank and Investment groups led the gainers, rising by 2.46% and 2.71% respectively.

Three companies hit the positive circuit breaker today: Corporate Development Bank Ltd., Green Bikas Bank Ltd., and Saptakoshi Bikas Bank Ltd.
On the downside, Balefi Hydropower Ltd. witnessed the highest drop in share price, falling by 9.99%.
Despite the decline, Balefi Hydropower Ltd. recorded the highest trading volume and turnover, with 8,678,225 shares exchanged amounting to Rs 2.01 billion.
