KATHMANDU: A scuffle broke out today afternoon between the supporters of Kulman Ghising and the police at New Baneshwor Chowk in Kathmandu.
The protesters were demonstrating against the government’s decision to remove Kulman Ghising from his position as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority.
The demonstrators had started their protest from Maitighar Mandala and marched towards New Baneshwor Chowk.
During the protest, as the protesters attempted to break through a restricted area, a confrontation occurred with the police, leading to a physical altercation.
