Deuba calls for implementation of construction entrepreneurs act to boost industry

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba emphasized the need to implement the Construction Entrepreneurs Act to strengthen the construction industry.
Speaking at a national convention of construction entrepreneurs affiliated with the party at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Monday, Deuba highlighted that in the current global economic risk environment, the construction industry plays a pivotal role, contributing the highest share to the country’s GDP and providing direct/indirect employment to over 2.5 million people.
He stressed the importance of making the construction sector prosperous.
Deuba expressed his commitment to push for the implementation of the Construction Entrepreneurs Act, its related laws, and regulations.
He assured that his party would actively work to address key challenges faced by construction entrepreneurs, such as delayed payments, rising material costs, and lack of a conducive business environment.
He also pointed out that construction entrepreneurs need to adopt technology to advance their businesses.
According to him, completing projects on time and within the allocated budget is a major issue in the industry today.
Deuba described construction entrepreneurs as the driving force of development, underscoring the need for all sectors to contribute to a dynamic economy.
