Trump proposes U.S. takeover & redevelopment of Gaza

KATHMANDU: U.S. President Donald Trump has suggested that the United States take control of Gaza, relocate Palestinians elsewhere, and redevelop the region.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump made the remarks without providing details on how the resettlement process would be carried out.

He stated that the U.S. would take over Gaza and lead its redevelopment.

Trump further mentioned that Gaza could become a home for people from around the world.

He also hinted at plans to visit Israel and possibly Gaza in the future.
