Gold & silver prices rise on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: The price of gold, which had dropped on Tuesday, increased today.
The price of 22-carat gold per tola has risen by Rs 400, now trading at Rs 155,400, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs Federation.

Similarly, silver prices have also increased, rising by Rs 10 per tola to Rs 1,830.
On Tuesday, silver had been trading at Rs 1,820 per tola.
After five consecutive days of increase, the price of gold had dropped yesterday.
In the third week of last November, the price of gold had dropped by Rs 18,500 per tola within just two days.
On Oct 31, gold reached its highest price, setting a record of Rs 171,000 per tola.
The reduction in customs duties led to a decline in the price of gold and silver.
