VG Motors opens fast charging station at 8,999 feet in Mustang

KATHMANDU: VG Motors Pvt. Ltd. has launched a fast charging station for commercial electric vehicles at an altitude of 8,999 feet in Mustang, Nepal.

The charging station, located in the Jomsom area of the Thini Rural Municipality, Ward No. 4, Mustang District, was inaugurated by Mohan Singh Lalchan, the Chair of Mustang Rural Municipality.
The station is equipped with a 32-kilowatt DC fast charger, capable of fully charging electric vehicle batteries in just 45 minutes.
This charging station is expected to provide convenience for travelers heading to Mustang with electric vehicles and local users of electric vehicles in the region.
VG Motors imports and distributes SRM and Joylong electric vehicles. The SRM vans, available in 11-seater, 2-seater, and 5-seater versions, can travel up to 300 kilometers on a full charge.
These vans are highly useful for schools, colleges, corporate houses, hotels, travel companies, hospitals, government offices, commercial transporters, and municipalities. The SRM vans are equipped with powerful lithium batteries.
The company has also introduced Joylong’s EA4, EA5, and EA6 models to the Nepali market.
The Joylong EA5 is a 17-seat mini van with a 60.1-kilowatt-hour battery, offering a 300-kilometer range on a full charge.
The EA6, a 20-seat van, features an 86.1-kilowatt-hour battery, providing a 400-kilometer range on a single charge.
