KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 14.08 points, closing at 2,715.91 on Tuesday.
A total of 169.17 million shares of 315 companies were traded 90,202 times, amounting to a turnover of Rs 8.91 billion.
Except for the hydropower and others subgroups, all other sectors witnessed a decline.
Notably, shares of Joshi Hydropower Development Bank surged by 9.98%, Madhya Bhotekoshi Hydropower by 8.25%, Nyadi Hydropower by 8.19%, Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha by 8.12%, and Kalika Power Company by 8.05%.
Meanwhile, Corporate Development Bank, Green Development Bank, and Sindhu Bikas Bank hit the negative circuit.
Following today’s session, the market capitalization stands at Rs 4.45 trillion.
