IME to offer discounted cable car rides for int’l money transfer customers
The discount will be available for up to three months from the date the funds are received.
KATHMANDU: IME has announced a special discount on cable car rides for customers who receive international remittances.
Those who complete transactions via IME will receive a 20% discount on tickets for the Maulakali and Lumbini cable cars.
Customers can show their receipt of funds received through IME or a digital receipt from IME Pay to claim the discount.
The discount will be available for up to three months from the date the funds are received.
Rudra Raj Poudel, the operator of Maulakali Cable Car, stated that the discount aims to encourage those living abroad to visit sacred sites such as Maulakali and Kamakhya Devi, as well as promote tourism. He emphasized that such incentives also encourage individuals abroad to send more money and work hard for their families and loved ones’ happiness.
Maulakali Cable Car in Gaindakot, Nawalpur, and Lumbini Cable Car connecting Butwal and Palpa’s Basantpur Danda provide easy access for visitors to temples and various tourist destinations.
