Ncell becomes main sponsor of Lumbini Lions

KATHMANDU: Lumbini Lions Club has welcomed Ncell as its main sponsor for the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
In a ceremony held today (Sunday) at the Hilton Kathmandu, Lumbini Lions unveiled their main sponsor.
The event was attended by legendary actor and brand ambassador of Lumbini Lions, Rajesh Hamal, Lumbini Lions captain Rohit Paudel, British cricketer Tom Moores, and other international players. This partnership is expected to bring additional energy and enthusiasm to the Lumbini Lions for the upcoming season.
Lumbini Lions’ president Ishwor JC and Ncell’s CEO and Managing Director, Jabbour Kayumov, signed the sponsorship agreement during the event. The team’s new jersey for the NPL was also revealed during the ceremony.

Connecting this cricket celebration with social causes, the Ncell Foundation recently announced that for every boundary hit in the NPL, they would provide four educational kits to students in rural and remote areas.

This partnership with Lumbini Lions Club as its main sponsor is expected to have a positive impact on Nepali sports, contribute to the growth of Nepali cricket, and encourage youth talent.
Lumbini Lions’ first match in the NPL will be on Wednesday. The NPL, which started yesterday, will run until Dec 21 at the TU International Ground in Kirtipur. The tournament features eight teams, and with the large number of teams and matches, the NPL has gained significant popularity.
