Sisan Baniya appointed as youth brand ambassador of Karnali Yaks
Karnali Yaks, coached by Gyanendra Malla and captained by Sompal Kami, has already signed four international players.
KATHMANDU: Karnali Yaks, owned by Himalayan Builders and Engineers, appointed Sisan Baniya as their “Youth Brand Ambassador” on Tuesday. Baniya is well-known in the Nepali blogging community and Nepali cinema.
Karnali Yaks, coached by Gyanendra Malla and captained by Sompal Kami, has already signed four international players.
Last week, they signed one of the most prominent names in world cricket, Shikhar Dhawan, who will play in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Additionally, the team has signed seasoned international players, including Chadwick Walton from the West Indies, Babar Hayat from Hong Kong, and former Oman captain Jatinder Singh.
The team also features players from Nepal’s national team, including Gulshan Jha, Dev Khanal, and Nandan Yadav. From the “B” category, the team has Arjun Gharti, Rit Gautam, Mausam Dhakal, and Bhuvan Karki, while from the “C” category, Deependra Rawat, Yunis Vikram Singh Thakuri, and Deepak Dumre have been signed. The team also selected Bipin Prasad Sharma from the Talent Hunt as an iconic player.
Previously, Karnali Yaks appointed actress Swastima Khadka as the “Face of Karnali Yaks.” The competition will be held from December 1 to January 20, with Karnali Yaks’ first match against Janakpur.
