KATHMANDU: In a presentation before the Parliamentary Hearing Committee on Wednesday, proposed Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut expressed his commitment to enhancing the credibility of the Judicial Council.

He emphasized that ensuring clean, fair, swift, and quality justice for all, as mandated by the Constitution of Nepal, is a primary responsibility of the Chief Justice.
The proposed Chief Justice also acknowledged his awareness and sensitivity regarding the ultimate responsibility of the Chief Justice in making the justice administration effective. He stated that he intends to coordinate and collaborate with the government and relevant bodies to resolve issues related to budget and manpower that hinder the implementation of the plans established in the judiciary.
Furthermore, Raut emphasized his commitment to upholding the dignity of the judiciary as he moves forward with his agenda.
He presented a 24-point action plan to guide his initiatives and priorities should he be appointed to the position.
