One held on rape charges

KATHMANDU: A 36-year-old Birkha Bahadur alias Birkhalal Rai of Dhankuta, Shahidbhumi Rural Municipality-4 was arrested by the police on Monday afternoon on the charge of raping a 26-year-old woman.

Based on a complaint that Rai had raped the woman on Sunday night, the police stationed at Akhisalla police station arrested him.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
