Due to continuous heavy rainfall from Thursday to Saturday, major highways, including the BP and Prithivi highways that connect the Kathmandu Valley, are still not fully operational.
According to an update from Nepal Police on Tuesday morning, 20 major highways, including those in Kathmandu and Lalitpur, remain completely obstructed.
The Dakshinkali-Sisneri section of the road in Kathmandu and the Lele-Tikabhairav section in Lalitpur are among the blocked routes.
In the Koshi region, the Rakebhedetar road is obstructed, while in Bagmati, the Kanti Lokpath, Bhimphedi-Kulekhani, Sisneri-Dakshinkali, Pasang Lhamu, and BP highways are blocked at various points.
Additionally, the Mid-Hill Highway and the Barhabise-Tatopani section remain completely inaccessible.
