KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed his commitment to take the initiative to transform the Tribhuvan Cricket Ground in Kirtipur into an international level cricket stadium.

In a recent meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli expressed his commitment to converting the Tribhuvan Cricket Ground in Kirtipur into an international standard cricket stadium.

The meeting, which included officials from the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), former cricketers, and notable personalities like actress Keki Adhikari and singer Prakash Saput, focused on the development and expansion of cricket and related aspects.

“Today’s discussion with CAN officials, players, cricket enthusiasts, and members of the Secretariat revolved around the stadium. We believe that this collaborative effort will expedite the construction of the stadium,” said Prime Minister Oli.

The first meeting of the Council of Ministers had earlier decided to upgrade the Tribhuvan Cricket Ground into a facility equipped with international standards within 300 days.
