UML Vice-Chair & 16 central committee members sworn in
During the event, Oli swore in Guru Baral as Vice-Chair along with 16 newly appointed central committee members.
KATHMANDU: The Chair of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli recently administered the oath to the nominated officials and central members of the party.
In a recent ceremony held at the party’s central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, KP Sharma Oli, Chair of the CPN (UML), administered the oath of office to newly appointed officials and central committee members.
During the event, Oli swore in Guru Baral as Vice-Chair along with 16 newly appointed central committee members.
The appointment and oath-taking were in accordance with Section 66(2)(c) of the UML’s amended party statute of 2049 (2078 BS).
The newly appointed central committee members include:
- Subash Karma Acharya (Sindhupalchowk)
- Jitendra Dev (Sunsari)
- Rampreet Ram (Siraha)
- Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel (Chitwan)
- Kamal Timilsina (Achham)
- Govinda Pun (Salyan)Kedar Sigdel (Tanahun)
- Manmohan Paudel (Parbat)
- Hardev Joshi (Darchula)
- Hari Upreti (Sarlahi)
- Indra Bhandari (Jhapa)
- Mahesh Bartaula (Makwanpur)
- Sarita Bhusal (Arghakhanchi)
- Prabha Koirala (Kaski)
- Manju Sharma Chalise (Baglung)
- Aasha Jabegu (Panchthar)
With the addition of these 16 members, the central committee of UML now comprises a total of 374 members.
The appointments were made following a Secretariat meeting held on 1Aug 1, which nominated one Vice-Chair and 16 central committee members according to Section 65 of the party statute.
