KATHMANDU: The government has made some special arrangements in the monetary policy with the aim of implementing the various arrangements included in the budget of the current financial year.

Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Maha Prasad Adhikari has publicly disclosed that the fiscal policy of the current fiscal year includes arrangements for facilitating easy flow of loans to agricultural producers.

The budget has also outlined measures to encourage banks and financial institutions to innovate in loan disbursement, ensuring that individuals approved for foreign employment receive remittances directly into their bank accounts without deduction of unsecured loans.

Furthermore, the budget has emphasized the central bank’s policy to facilitate additional easy access to loans based on ensuring the security of savings deposits up to five lakh rupees for members of savings and credit cooperatives, aiming to resolve issues faced by troubled cooperatives and safeguard the assets of their members.
