Six held in suspicious murder of traffic police officer
Ghimire's body was discovered in an under-construction building in Tarkeshwor-9, Manmaiju, Kathmandu.
KATHMANDU: The police have arrested six individuals on a charge of murdering traffic police officer Yubaraj Ghimire.
Ghimire, who was stationed at the Traffic Police Division in Durbar Marg, Kathmandu, was found dead under suspicious circumstances last Friday.
Ghimire’s body was discovered in an under-construction building in Tarkeshwor-9, Manmaiju, Kathmandu.
He was reportedly killed while returning home after his duty shift.
The Kathmandu District Police Office’s special team conducted the arrests.
Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari, the spokesperson for the district police, stated that a press conference will be held today at noon to provide details about the investigation and the arrests.
Ghimire was a resident of Majuwagadhi Rural Municipality-1 in Khotang.
