KATHMANDU: An incident unfolded in Pathibhara Yangwarak Rural Municipality-4, Dumrise, Taplejung, as tractor State 1-01-001 Ta 9069 lost control on Wednesday morning, resulting in a fatal accident.
A 9-year-old Manav Tamang, son of Kiran Tamang from the locality, who was studying in class 6 of Sidheshwari High School at the same place tragically lost his life at the scene who was in the ill-fated tractor.
Additionally, eight individuals, all students of the same school, sustained injuries and were promptly transported to the Dumrise local health post for medical attention.
Further, seven injured individuals were transferred to Panchthar for advanced treatment.
Currently, authorities are on the lookout for the absconding tractor driver and are actively conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
