KATHMANDU: On Wednesday, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) observed a marginal downturn, slipping by 0.21 points to settle at 1960.60 points.

Today’s trading activity encompassed 58,74,967 shares, valued at Rs 20.54 billion, exchanging hands 41,137 times.

During the session, participation was noted from 305 companies, with 124 firms witnessing an uptick in their share prices, while 107 experienced a decline. Additionally, 12 companies maintained stability in their share values.

The sensitive index registered a slight drop of 0.17 points, whereas both the float index and sensitive float index saw modest increases of 0.09 points each.

Across the 13 subgroups, four recorded gains, while eight saw declines, particularly notable in finance, hydro, microfinance, and trading sectors.

Infinity Microfinance observed a significant uptick of 10% in its share value, entering a positive circuit, while Doti Hydropower marked a notable surge of 9.79 points.
