KATHMANDU: In the recent by-election held on April 27 in Ilam Constituency No. 2, victorious candidate from the CPN-UML, Suhang Nembang, is set to take the oath of office today.

The swearing-in ceremony for Nembang’s parliamentary position is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. in the hall of the Singha Durbar-based Agriculture Committee, as notified by the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

Suhang secured victory in Ilam Constituency No. 2 with 27,772 votes.

His closest rival, Dambar Bahadur Khadka from the Nepali Congress, garnered 21,942 votes.

Suhang won with a margin of 5,780 votes over Khadka.
