Rs 8 million looted from cooperative employee in Janakpurdham

KATHMANDU: Rupees 8 million has been looted from the employees of a cooperative society in Janakpurdham, Dhanusa.

Three unidentified assailants robbed Rs 8 million from Birendra Kumar Mahato, an employee of Shubhashree Savings and Credit Cooperative Society, while he was at work in Mainathpuram.

The incident was reported by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ranjan Aba, at the District Police Office in Janakpur.

Police are currently investigating the robbery of the money withdrawn from the National Cooperative Bank in Bhanuchowk, Janakpur Dham, intended for the cooperative, which occurred while accompanied by Mahato, a resident of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-19.

They have reached the scene to search for the robbers as soon as the information was received.
