Ilam-2 by-election sees 40% voter turnout

KATHMANDU: In the ongoing by-elections in Ilam Constituency-2, a 40 percent voter turnout has been recorded.

Chief Election Officer Keshav Prasad Ghimire informed Makalu Khabar that by 1 PM, a 40 percent voter turnout was observed in various polling centers.

He mentioned that while some centers witnessed high voter participation, others experienced relatively lower turnout, resulting in an average of 40 percent overall.

Ghimire also highlighted that the voting process, which commenced at 7 AM, has been progressing smoothly.
