KATHMANDU: On the occasion of the National Photojournalism Day 2081, organized by the National Sports Council (NSC), the first-ever international friendly football match was held between Bangladesh’s Narayangunj Club and Nepal’s National Photojournalist Group (NFPJ) at the ANFA Complex in Lalitpur.

Bangladesh emerged victorious with a score of 5-3.

Jakir Hossen and Moyhedee Hasan Topu scored three and two goals respectively for Bangladesh, while Suman Limbu and Deewakar Shen contributed with two and one goal(s) for Nepal.

The friendly match was organized by the NFPJ with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations through sports communication.

Pradeep Raj Wonta, the Chair f of the NFPJ, shared that the event aimed to foster friendly football relations through media channels.

Before the match against Narayangunj Club, Secretary of the NSC Tankalal Ghising handed over the ball to the players.

All participating players were awarded medals along with certificates of appreciation.

The event was supported by Printing Express and M Nepali Brand, while Goldstar Suja provided football shoes and ANFA Academy made the ground available for the match.

Additionally, Himal Hospital provided medical support, while Nepal Airlines took charge of volunteer coordination.

The event was also supported by Swatishree Gurukul School, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, and Ward No. 9 of Gokarneshwar Municipality.
