Father held for murdering daughter

KATHMANDU: The police on Thursday morning arrested 48-year-old Narayan Bahadur Gharti Chhetri, a resident of Kanchan Rural Municipality-5 Bargadawa, on the charge of murdering his own daughter, 17-year-old Anjali Gharti Chhetri.

Upon receiving reports of Anjali’s demise following a strike to her head with an iron rod by her father at the Malika Hotel and Lodge in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-4, Lumbini, local police from the Rudrapur Area Police Office swiftly apprehended him.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
