KATHMANDU: Title contenders Nepal will play the first match of the ACC Premier Cup T20 cricket tournament against Malaysia.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the participation of all teams for the upcoming tournament.
Nepal’s 14-member squad includes players who participated in the SMS Friendship Cup in India.
Nepal is placed in Group A of the competition, alongside Hong Kong, Malaysia, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
Nepal’s second match will be against Qatar on 2nd May, followed by Hong Kong on 3rd May and Saudi Arabia on 5th May.
Nepal’s group is considered relatively weak compared to others. Nepal is seen as a strong team within the group. In Group B, Oman, along with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Bahrain, and Cambodia will compete.
Oman and the UAE are considered strong contenders in this group.
