KATHMANDU: In an electrifying clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) delivered a commanding performance to overcome the challenge posed by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
Choosing to field first, CSK’s bowlers showcased exceptional prowess, limiting the formidable KKR batting lineup to a modest total of 137 runs.
Despite a strong start from KKR’s Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi, CSK’s Ravindra Jadeja emerged as the game-changer with a remarkable spell, claiming crucial wickets and reaching the milestone of 100 catches in the IPL.
In reply, CSK’s batsmen, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad’s superb unbeaten 67, comfortably chased down the target.
Gaikwad’s outstanding innings, supported by valuable contributions from Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell, guided CSK to a comprehensive seven-wicket victory.
